Chili Cook Off!!!

Penny War!

The Elementary Parent Council will be bringing back the Penny War for 2010! The 1st class in each category to fill their pumpkin will win a pizza party! This contest will begin on Tuesday, Nov. 2nd and end the day of BUCfest on Nov. 6th. The rules for each category are below.

Pre K through 1^st - Pennies only. The class that fills up their pumpkin first wins!

2^nd and 3^rd - Silver Only. Nickels, dimes and quarters only. The class that fills theirs first wins!

4^th and 5^th - Pennies ONLY with a TWIST.  Each classroom will want to put as many pennies in their pumpkin as possible. Each penny will count as a “point”. To deduct points from another class the children may place any silver coin(s) or dollar(s). The coin worth will be the amount of points that will be deducted from that pumpkin. Example : 500 pennies are placed in a class’s pumpkin. An opposing class places 5 quarters in that pumpkin. The class will have to deduct 125 pennies.

The class with the most POINTS wins the pizza party.
